We've Arrived And Already Had Houseguests

The kids and I arrived on August 8th. We flew from Dulles to Brussels, Belgium. I upgraded our seats to business class, which made the flight so easy. It was very sad for us to leave Virginia, but we are so excited to experience Europe.

We arrived with 16 bags between us...that is two checked bags per person plus our carry ons and Maryn's car seat. Each of the boys and I had a full cart of luggage. Chris met us and we rode home in the contract van from the base. We were bleary eyed for a few days, but settled in pretty quickly. It is such a change to transition from shorts, short sleeves and flip flops to wearing long pants and at times, a sweater, and even more often, a raincoat!

My brother, his wife and new baby drove over from Germany our first weekend in country. It was a treat to see them and to meet my new niece. She's so cute!

Sean, Will and Maryn all went to vacation bible school our second week. Sean worked it and Will and Maryn attended. It was a great way to meet other kids their age.
